1 FILE TYPE
Files can be provided in various formats and sizes, see details below outlining the required file types ensuring the format is suitable for print. This in turn will speed up the design and production process.
VECTOR FILE
Infinitely scalable without any loss of quality because it relies on math, not pixels. File formats: SVG, AI, EPS, PDF.
PIXEL FILE
Does not scale well. When enlarged, it becomes pixelated (blurry or jagged edges) because the limited number of pixels gets stretched. “Low resolution” means fewer pixels, reducing detail and clarity. File formats: JPEG, PNG.
THE VERDICT
Vector files are the “go to” when printing sharp clear garments. Ideally, when available this is the format required. However, pixel files can be used if necessary but need to be 300dpi (resolution) to ensure the print is not blurry and unsuitable for the customer.
2 COLOURS
Garments are printed with CMYK / Pantone.
PANTONE (PMS)
Colours are pre mixed and provided a specific code, this is to increase accuracy and provides and exact colour match across different materials and printers. Ideal for larger companies that are matching their garment colour to their corporate identity.
CMYK
Colors are created by layering varying percentages of the four inks (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black). CMYK is more suitable for projects with gradients, shading, or complex images where a lot of colours are used. For example indigenous designs generally will be printed using CMYK.
CHOOSING COLOURS
Ideally, if the customer has brand guidelines outlining their PMS/CMYK codes, these will be followed. If the customer only has artwork files of their design, logo or image required, our team will match the CMYK/PMS colour value of the files provided.
COLOUR MATCHING
If the customer wants to colour match an existing garment, they can either provide previous artwork files which provides the colour codes. If this is not available then a sample of that garment is required to allow our team to colour match to our fabric swatch sheet.
PICKING COLOURS
Alternatively, the customer can choose colours from our swatch booklet, provided by our sales team.

3 PRODUCTION PROCESS
Once art files have been approved our production process can begin. See the below steps that are followed to create your order.
